Heavy Attack Profile Special Rule
Q: A Character's Attack Profile has the 'Heavy' Special Rule. The 'Heavy' special rule should be on page 37 of the GunCraze Miniature Battles Rulebook but it goes from 'Flaming' to 'Hit Location' - there is no 'Heavy'.
A: You are right. Heavy should have been added in the first release of the GunCraze Miniature Battles Rulebook. It is a GunCraze Action Tabletop Roleplaying System Rule, and it and represents weapons that are too big to be able to run and fire them with any measure of accuracy. Here is the rule:
Heavy
These Attack Profiles use weapons so big or cumbersome that a character may not use this weapon in the same turn that they moved faster than their Slow Movement. This includes when a character has moved faster than their slow speed and entered into a Partial Hold. A character can stand up from the Prone and use an attack Profile with the Heavy Special rule, pending they have not used more movement points than the character's slow speed allows. - 9/2/2024
Defending Against Critical Hits
Q: Per page 31, When a character scores a Natural 10 on their Attack Roll, and they roll their Critical Hit Attack Roll, they can use Craze! Points to increase the score of the D10 Result.
Can the Defender add more Craze! Points at this point to their original Defense Roll to protect himself from Critical Hits? Whether they already used the 3 allowed or not?
A: No. The Defender's Defense Roll for that attack is final.
When the Attacker and Defender roll opposed dice, the Defender clearly knows if the Attack Roll was a natural 10. If this happens, they would want to use as many Craze! Points as possible to raise their Defense Roll to protect from the result of the Critical Hit Attack Roll. If they do not, they may be dealt a mighty blow, which could be game changing! - 1/7/2024
